The proportions are great (length to thickness) and the quality superb.
If you are looking for a roll-up board then this green and buff board should be your 1st choice. The back has a lining and the board contrasts well with the typical black and white pieces. Very well made

Great pieces! Looks beautiful with my 17” board with a similar color palette. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it for a wonderful looking set. Definitely tournament grade quality and weight. The color is lighter than what is pictured as you can see.
I was really worried that the pieces are gonna be too light and/or uncomfortable to hold and I am released to say I was wrong. You can feel the weight of each piece and it is very satisfying to place them on the board, which is a work of art on its own.I also didn’t expect the board and the pieces to be that big. On of the photos you can see me holding one of the queens, it’s a very big piece. The board is quite heavy and has the same green fabric that all the pieces have. It feels very smooth and you can see and feel how well crafter it all is.The package doesn’t include any bags for the set, so if you want to keep it dust-free, make sure to get those separatelyAll in all, very satisfied with the purchase, a chess set for generations
I bought this set several months ago in the Burnt Boxwood /Boxwood for myself and have been delighted with my purchase. The pieces are beautifully designed and weighted. In fact, we were so pleased that I recently bought a second set in the Rosewood and boxwood as a gift for a family member. I enthusiastically recommend them.
